What is stick drift?

It is wear of the joystick: its internal sensor sends a movement even when you are not touching it. It is a very common issue on PS4 controllers, and it can be repaired without buying a new controller.

What is the difference between an analog and a TMR joystick?

The analog joystick works like the original part: a contact slides on a track, which wears out with use. The TMR joystick uses a contactless magnetic sensor: nothing rubs, so it does not wear out the same way and resists drift. It is our premium option.

Only one joystick is drifting: do you replace both?

Yes, we always replace both joysticks, even if only one is drifting, so that both sides of the controller respond the same way. The price shown includes both joysticks.

Is the controller recalibrated after the repair?

Yes. After replacing the joysticks, we systematically recalibrate them, then test the controller before returning it to you.

Do I need to bring the console?

No, the controller is enough. The repair takes 2 hours on average, and we test the controller before returning it to you.

How long does the joystick replacement take?

On average, 2 hours from when we receive your controller. For a mail-in repair, add the Purolator shipping time, which depends on your city.

Can I send my controller for the joystick replacement from outside Montreal?

Yes. Our Purolator mail-in service covers all of Canada. Your label is emailed to you after booking. Pack your controller in a rigid box with padding.

Is my controller insured during shipping?

Yes, your controller is insured for its value both ways, with tracking and signature on delivery.
