Swollen Pixel 8 Pro battery: what to do?
A swelling battery pushes against the screen or the back of the phone: the screen comes unstuck, the back bulges or the phone no longer lies flat.
- Stop charging the phone and turn it off if you can.
- Do not press on the screen or the back to close it, and never puncture the battery.
- Keep it away from heat and do not leave it charging overnight.
We replace the swollen battery of your Pixel 8 Pro with a new battery and new adhesive, in store in Montreal or by mail. If the screen has lifted, we check that it works and sits properly, and we let you know before any other repair.

How do I know if my Pixel battery needs replacing?
If your phone drains quickly, shuts down unexpectedly or the battery is swollen, it is time to replace it. The diagnosis is free.
My Pixel 8 Pro battery is swollen: can I keep using my phone?
We advise against it: a swollen battery can keep swelling, damage the screen and overheat. Stop charging it and bring it in or mail it to us quickly: we replace it with a new battery.
How do I find my exact Pixel model?
Open Settings › About phone: the model name is shown under “Model”.
Can I send my Pixel from outside Montreal?
Yes. Our Purolator mail-in service covers the whole country. Your label is emailed to you after booking, and your phone is insured both ways with tracking.
How long does the repair take?
1.5 hours from the time we receive your phone, in store or by mail. For mail-in repairs, add the Purolator shipping time.
Is my data kept?
The repair does not touch the storage: your data stays intact. We still recommend a Google backup before any repair.
