A forced disc, a fall or a worn laser lens can block the drive. We repair the loading mechanism or replace the optical unit, then calibrate the drive for smooth playback of your games and Blu-ray movies. This repair applies to the standard PS5, whose disc drive is built in.

Does this apply to my PS5 Slim or Pro?
No. On the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro, the disc drive is a detachable module that plugs into the back of the console. This repair applies to the built-in drive of the standard PS5. For a detachable drive, contact us.
My disc is stuck in the console: can I get it back?
Yes, we recover the disc during the repair. Avoid forcing the eject or opening the console yourself: it can damage both the disc and the mechanism.
Do my digital games still work during the fault?
Yes. A disc drive fault only affects discs: your downloaded games keep working.
How long does the disc drive repair take?
24 hours from when we receive your console. For a mail-in repair, add the Purolator shipping time, which depends on your city.
Are my games and saves kept?
Yes. The disc drive repair does not touch the storage: your games and saves remain intact.
Can I send my console for the disc drive repair from outside Montreal?
Yes. Our Purolator mail-in service covers all of Canada. Your label is emailed to you after booking. Pack your console in a rigid box with padding.
Is my console insured during shipping?
Yes, your console is insured for its value both ways, with tracking and signature on delivery.
A drifting controller? We repair it too
Your character or camera moves on its own, without touching the joystick? That is “stick drift”, a very common joystick wear issue. No need to buy a new controller: we replace the joysticks, with a choice of standard analog joysticks or TMR joysticks, more durable and designed to resist drift. Bring your controllers along with your console.
