Repair the logic board instead of replacing it
When a MacBook won’t turn on or charge, the fault often comes from a single component on the logic board. We find it and replace it by micro-soldering, instead of changing the whole board.
MacBook won’t turn on
Short circuit, burnt power component, faulty power management chip: we measure the voltages on the board to locate the faulty component.
The faulty component is replaced and the original board is kept.
After liquid damage
Liquid corrodes the components and traces on the logic board, sometimes several days after the spill.

Why repair the logic board instead of replacing it?
A new logic board is expensive, and your data, soldered to the old board, is lost. Micro-soldering replaces only the faulty component: the original board is kept, with your data if the repair succeeds.

It depends on the faulty component. The diagnostic is free and you get a quote before any work. If a repair is not worth it, we tell you.
How long does it take?
The diagnostic takes 24 to 48 hours. The repair time depends on the component and its availability.
Can every logic board be repaired?
No. Some faults cannot be repaired, for example when a main chip is damaged. The diagnostic tells you before you commit.
Can I mail my MacBook to you?
Yes, by Purolator anywhere in Canada, unless the battery is swollen or there was smoke: in that case, bring it to our workshop.
