Signs of a worn Switch battery
Much shorter battery lifeLess than an hour of play before the low battery warning.

A battery loses capacity after a few hundred cycles. We install a new battery with the same specifications as the original, then check the charging circuit to make sure the fault does not also come from the motherboard. The battery is a wear part: it is covered by a 6 months warranty.

Battery or charging port: how do I tell?
If the console charges normally but drains quickly, it is the battery. If it only charges when you move the cable, or not at all, it is more likely the charging port. The diagnosis is free.
My Switch’s back is swollen: what should I do?
Stop using and charging it, and bring it to the store: a swollen battery must be replaced quickly. Do not ship it by mail.
Why is the warranty 6 months?
A battery is a wear part: its capacity naturally decreases with use. The warranty covers any defect of the new battery.
Which models do you repair?
All of them: Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED and Switch 2.
How long does the battery replacement take?
1.5 hours from when we receive your console. For a mail-in repair, add the Purolator shipping time, which depends on your city.
Are my games and saves kept?
Yes. The battery replacement does not touch the storage: your games and saves remain intact.
Can I send my console for the battery replacement from outside Montreal?
