The Switch is cooled by a small fan that pushes hot air out through the top vent. When it wears out or gets clogged, heat builds up. We replace the fan and clean the cooling system, then check temperatures in play before returning your console.

Is it normal for my Switch to get warm in TV mode?
It is normal for it to be warm. If it becomes burning hot, slows down or the fan makes an unusual noise, the fan should be checked.
Cleaning or new fan?
We check during the diagnosis. The repair includes the fan replacement and the cleaning of the cooling system.
Do I need to bring the dock?
No, the console is enough. We test it in portable mode and in TV mode with our own dock.
Which models do you repair?
All of them: Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED and Switch 2.
How long does the fan replacement take?
1.5 hours from when we receive your console. For a mail-in repair, add the Purolator shipping time, which depends on your city.
Are my games and saves kept?
Yes. The fan replacement does not touch the storage: your games and saves remain intact.
Can I send my console for the fan replacement from outside Montreal?
Yes. Our Purolator mail-in service covers all of Canada. Your label is emailed to you after booking. Pack your console in a rigid box with padding.
Is my console insured during shipping?
Yes, your console is insured for its value both ways, with tracking and signature on delivery.

Your character or camera moves on its own, without touching the joystick? That is “stick drift”, a very common joystick wear issue. No need to buy a new controller: we replace the joysticks, with a choice of standard analog joysticks or TMR joysticks, more durable and designed to resist drift. Bring your controllers along with your console.
